Hagy Belzberg, A.I.A.


Mr. Belzberg received his Master of Architecture Degree with Distinction from Harvard University and has served as a Director of the American Institute of Architects, Los Angeles.  In 2008, Hagy Belzberg received the designation of “Emerging Voice” from the Architectural League of New York and was the recipient of the Emerging Talent Award from the American Institute of Architects.

Rabbi Mark Blazer

Rabbi Blazer is the spiritual leader of Temple Beth Ami in Santa Clarita, California.  A highly esteemed educator, Rabbi Mark Blazer’s unique style of teaching and family education programs have captivated many who previously had little or no connection with the organized Jewish community.  His Adult Education programs are highly successful, and have received international recognition. He has also served as chaplain for the California Department of Corrections, the LA County Sheriff’s Department and the Jewish Board of Family and Children Services of New York.

Mark Kaplan, Capital Campaign Chair

Mark KaplanMr. Kaplan has spent the last 20 plus years in the entertainment industry as a producer, manager and currently as a Vice President of Sales for Technicolor Creative Services.  He is the immediate past president of Temple Beth Ami and resides in Stevenson Ranch with his wife and two children.

 

 

Steve Elzer

Mr. Elzer is a veteran entertainment industry communications executive who has worked on the launch of some of the most successful films in motion picture history. For the past eight years, Elzer has served as Senior Vice President of Media Relations for Columbia Pictures.  He is a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts And Sciences and lives in Santa Clarita with his wife and two children.

Lori Miller Farkas

Ms. Farkas has worked as a grant writer and development executive in the non-profit sector for such organizations as the Raven Drum Foundation, City Ballet of Los Angeles and the Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane Dance Co.   She also spent eight years as a creative executive at Showtime Networks.

Hadassah Lynn Foster

Ms. Foster is  Writer/Editor for University Advancement, University of Southern California.  She is a specialist in fund raising, and secondary and  postsecondary school partnerships.

Greg Goldstein

Mr. Goldstein is President of Marquis Financial Services.

Dick Greenberg

Mr. Greenberg is CFO of Rasmussen, the freeway contractor.  He is a CPA and a former synagogue president.

Rob Hershenson

Mr. Hershenson has worked in the music business for the past 13 years and is currently the Senior Director of Marketing Operations and Creative Services for Universal Music Group Distribution.   He resides in Stevenson Ranch with his wife and four daughters.

Lori Litel

Ms. Litel has spent 25 plus years in the non-profit industry, 20 years of which have been as a non-profit Executive Director.  She brings expertise in the area of fundraising best practices as well as program development.

Dan May

Mr. May is a professional  Land Surveyor and project coordinator for SCCJL with Sikand Engineering in Van Nuys and 30 year employee at Sikand.  

Hal Monheim

Mr. Monheim is the President and CEO of Palmdale Glass & Mirror Co.  He served on the board and was the board chairman of the Santa Clarita Family YMCA and a long standing board member and past president of Temple Beth Ami.  He has been married for 29 years and has three grown children.

Brad Polak, CPA

Mr. Polak is a partner with the firm of Allegent Group, LLP CPAs with 20 years of public accounting experience in which he has consulted in many facets of financial, tax and accounting for businesses, trusts, and individuals.

Leah Pollack

Ms. Pollack is owner of Elite Professionals Real Estate Services, Inc. and is designated REALTOR, GREEN involved with community outreach, economic development, online marketing and project management.  She looks forward to applying her skill set to the success of this valuable effort in the Santa Clarita Valley.

Scott Rubin

Mr. Rubin is an acclaimed humorist and National Lampoon’s longest serving Editor in Chief in its 40 year history (1999-2009).

Allan Schollnick

Mr. Schollnick is a Post Production, Technology Strategist with VJA Consulting and his own company, Force Media.  He resides in Valencia with his wife, Lee, and their two children, Travis 18 and Hailey 14.

Robert Schwartz

Mr. Schwartz is President of Tower Funding of Valencia, Inc. since 1989 – A residential mortgage Co. 

Josh Siegel

Mr. Siegel is currently Vice President, Product Management at Target Media Partners Interactive. Products launched under his leadership have established market leading positions and received numerous awards. Mr. Seigel was formerly the Senior Director of Monetization for Veoh Networks. Before that, Josh launched and headed up the Yahoo! Publisher Network, the second largest contextual ad network in the US.

Mike Spalter

Mr. Spalter has spent 20 years working for Fortune 100 Financial institutions and currently is CIO of iXept.com a Financial Services company and owner of Mad Dog’s Gamers Paradise an event entertainment business.

Joyce Stein

Ms. Stein is a Technology  Manager in the Financial Services industry.  Member of Temple Beth Ami since 2000, Board member since 2001 and Board President since 2008.

John Stulman

Mr. Stulman is a small business owner who lives and works in Santa Clarita with his wife and two sons.

Nancy Troxell

Ms. Troxell, Realtor & Co Owner of The Nancy Troxell Realty Group, has been a Real Estate Professional in the Santa Clarita and San Fernando Valleys since 1990. Nancy was named “The Best in Real Estate” in 2003 by the San Fernando Valley Business Journal.

Rosemary Watson

Ms. Watson is a former president and long-time supporter of Temple Beth Ami and the Barbara Friedell Early Childhood Education Center, which is named for her mother. Ms. Watson resides in Santa Paula, CA.
